Completed Projects

Project 1

Keur Racine

The high school Bassirou Mbacke in Thies, Senegal required a school for toddlers within their amenities. LBMS built 2 classrooms with one office using tyres for the foundations and SuperAdobe technique (invented by Nader Khalili) for the walls, i.e. earth-bags filled with a stabilised mix of local soil.

Project 2

Tivaouane Peulh School

Niakoulrab’s requirements are an elementary school of 6 classrooms. LBMS’ proposal divided the project in two parts. We completed the construction of 3 classrooms, one office and a toilet block in August 2019. We built it using Super Adobe technique (invented by Nader Khalili), i.e. earth-bags filled with a stabilised mix of local soil.

Project 3

Sambou Toura High School

The high school is located in Marsassoum, located in Casamance, in the southern part of Senegal where the climate is more humid.

The existing school had four classrooms, called “temporary structures” (“abris provisoires”), made of bamboo walls and zinc roof, collapsing frequently, and two classrooms built with cement blockwork with no ventilation and finishes. The intention was to replace these classrooms with built structures well lighted and ventilated.
